In scenes reminiscent of the classic Australian movie The Castle, a man living in a caravan on land he owns in outback WA is facing eviction by the local council.
The Shire of Menzies is fining 58-year-old Roland Gopel $50 a day for camping illegally on the outskirts of the northern Goldfields town, where he has lived since May 2015.
Just like Michael Caton's character Darryl Kerrigan in The Castle, he has told them they are "dreaming" if they think he will pay the fines.
